Departments and Research activities

It is done basic research with application potential and also applied research in the fields of technical chemistry, biochemistry with the aim of establishing new units and processes of technological applications.

It has been collected experience in fields of chemical and biochemical technologies with wide spread cooperation with national and international industry, for many years. Our partners are the chemical and biochemical industry, the pharmaceutical industry as well as chemical engineering companies and all other companies who need modern, environmental friendly, economical processes.

 

Department of Bioprocess Engineering:

  • genetically modified microorganisms (new)
  • nano-structured biocatalysts
  • enzyme catalytic reactions in non-conventional media
  • membrane separation processes, hybrid processes
  • biomass utilization, fermentation

Department of Fine Particle Technology:

  • Formation of micro- and nanostructured functional composite systems
  • Physical, chemical and material structural experiments
  • crystallization, coagulation, coacervation, particle coating
  • Development of a polymerizable GFB variant
  • Construction of flagellin-based filamentous nanostructures

Department of Environmental Friendly Chemical Processes:

  • Ionic solvents, Environmental friendly additives
  • Transformation of materials by microwave energy transfer;
  • Microwave aided chemical processes of biological materials, plants and seeds
  • Waste free intensive oxidation processes

Department of Process Integration and Intensification:

  • Integrated Energy Management Framework in Waste to Energy
  • Life cycle analysis and supply chain analysis
  • Integration of Renewable sources of Energy Into Energy Supply Chain

Department of Bio-nanotechnology:

  • Development of a polymerizable GFP variant
  • Surface immobilization of flagellar filaments
