Springer-Nature book entitled "Synthesis and applications of nanomaterials and nanocomposites" by Dr. Imran Uddin

Imran Book Cover page sWe are pleased to announce that an edited Springer-Nature book entitled "Synthesis and applications of nanomaterials and nanocomposites", has been published by Dr. Imran Uddin, a researcher at Nanolab, University of Pannonia. Imran joined the Environmental Mineralogy Research Group last year from India and is working on the biomimetic synthesis of nanoparticles (metal particles on biological substrates), producing composites that can be used for the degradation of pollutants in water.
This book brings together essential topics in nanotechnology and its applications. Diverse aspects of the emerging research fields are strung together to make it a useful reference book, especially for early-career research scholars in the field of nanotechnology and nanocomposites. A wide range of topics are included on the synthesis of nanoparticles, nanorods, graphene, graphene oxide-metal composites, characterization of these materials, and various aspects of emerging and existing applications, including biomedical, food packaging, heavy metal sensing, etc. In order to introduce theoretical details, chapters on DFT and Monte-Carlo analytical calculations have been included.
